Join me in this intensive to learn practice sets that keep our energy stable and grounded in yin, and discuss plants and foods that directly support this internal weather pattern. According to the Daoist calendar, this time of year is when yang is rising steadily and can be hard to manage without a clear reserve of yin to keep us from 'burning out'. Quite literally, this season is typically when adrenals are working harder and kidney yin (what we've stored up from winter) is vital to keep us from experiencing adrenal fatigue. If you recognize historical patterns of insomnia, fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, allergies or heart arrhythmia - or just get overwhelmed at the thought of 'summer' - this practice is for you. We'll draw on the healing sounds and chan yuan gong sets as well as specific mudras and meditation to support this seasonal shift.
These intensives are often an intimate group where your personal needs can be addressed and a shared sense of support is palpable.
This is not designed to 'fix' you or make you perfectly healthy, and certainly not only for those of us who are actively dealing with illness. Qigong is quite simply 'practicing well', which ripples out far beyond ourselves.
Cost: sliding scale $120 / $90 / $60
If you live with privilege (due to race, age, or wealth), by paying on the highest tier you are supporting equity in embodiment and radical self-care practices. I really do have many clients and students who cannot, and do not, pay anything. Your highest contribution makes this possible for me to offer freely, without question, to whoever needs it. If you are unable to pay anything, please reach out for alternative ways to reciprocate and to receive a scholarship of any amount.
