Wayfinding + Shapeshifting Intensive, pt 1

Wayfinding + Shapeshifting

An immersive investigation into the artistry of navigation and change.

In this offering, Frieda Kipar Bay (herbalist, tracker, artist, activist) and Dana Iova-Koga (artist, teacher, mover, bi-continental resident) will be diving through a multi-layered inquiry of what it means to be a shapeshifter and how to wayfind with grace and clarity. Through the pathways of movement, plant medicine, and cognitive and creative tracking, we will hone our awareness of ourselves, others, and the environment. We will be looking at how we can turn these inherent abilities into artistry, and how doing so supports our health, creativity, problem solving, communication, and fulfillment of Life.

The weekend intensive includes 3 hour sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. We will meet together live on Zoom, using our personal landscapes to be together, yet scattered simultaneously. You will be encouraged to tune in from creative locations, turn off your video for certain exercises, and orient away from the two-dimensional screen as often as possible.

Sessions will include guided, experiential movement practices, presentations by Frieda and Dana, solo investigative exercises and facilitated group discussions.
